Upon arrival at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, our team will assist with your hotel transfer. As Leh is situated at high altitude, today is dedicated to acclimatization. Adequate rest, hydration, and minimal physical exertion are strongly advised to help your body adjust comfortably to the Himalayan environment.
In the evening, step out for a gentle introduction to Leh town and its surrounding viewpoints.

Today’s journey takes you westward along the historic Indus River corridor, often referred to as the cultural heartland of Ladakh. The drive is smooth and scenic, passing army settlements, dramatic mountain formations, and ancient monastic sites. This region offers a meaningful introduction to Ladakh’s spiritual traditions and strategic importance.

- Hall of Fame Museum (Indian Army Museum)
- Magnetic Hill – famous gravity illusion stretch
- Sangam – Confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers
- Alchi Monastery – known for its 11th-century murals
- Likir Monastery – home to a majestic Maitreya statue
Return to Leh for overnight stay.

After breakfast, begin the ascent toward one of Ladakh’s most iconic mountain passes, Khardung La (5,359 m). The climb offers dramatic panoramic views, snow-capped peaks (seasonal), and colorful prayer flags marking the summit.
After crossing the pass, descend into the starkly beautiful Nubra Valley, where the terrain transforms into a fascinating cold desert landscape dotted with sand dunes and riverbeds.

Today is intentionally relaxed to allow deeper exploration of Nubra’s unique cultural and natural beauty. With an additional day here, you avoid a rushed schedule and can experience village life, river landscapes, and local traditions at a slower pace.
You may choose to visit Turtuk, one of the northernmost villages of India near the Indo-Pak border, known for its Balti heritage and apricot orchards. Alternatively, explore Sumur village or Panamik’s hot springs.

Today’s drive follows the scenic Shyok River corridor, one of the most visually dramatic routes in Ladakh. The landscape alternates between narrow river valleys, rugged cliffs, and vast open stretches. The terrain gradually becomes more expansive as you approach the Pangong region.
By afternoon, you reach the iconic high-altitude lake:

Famous for its crystal-clear waters and changing shades of blue, Pangong offers a peaceful and surreal Himalayan experience.

Wake up early to witness the serene sunrise over Pangong before beginning your return journey. The route takes you across Chang La (5,360 m), another significant high-altitude pass offering spectacular views and crisp mountain air.
As you descend from Chang La, the landscape transitions back into the fertile Indus Valley region.

Arrive in Leh by evening.
